Linear Integration

Produktly integrates with Linear to automatically create Linear issues from feedback responses and roadmap feature requests.

How to connect Linear​

  1. Go to the Integrations page
  2. Click the Linear tile, then "Connect Linear"
  3. You'll be redirected to Linear to authorize the connection for your workspace
  4. After authorizing, you'll be redirected back to Produktly

That's it! The integration is now connected. If your Linear workspace has exactly one team, it's selected automatically; otherwise pick a team next (see below).

Settings​

After connecting, open the Linear card on the Integrations page to configure it:

Team​

New issues are created in this Linear team. Selecting a team is required: no issues are created until a team is set. If you switch teams later, label selections that only exist in the old team are cleared automatically.

Create issues from feedback​

When enabled, each feedback widget response creates a Linear issue.

  • All feedback types: create issues for every feedback type, or untick it and select only the types that should create issues (for example, bug reports but not general comments).
  • Labels for this type: optionally apply Linear labels per feedback type, e.g. tag bug reports with your bug label. Available with "All feedback types" on or off.
  • Labels for all feedback issues: labels applied to every issue created from feedback, in addition to the per-type labels.

Create issues from feature requests​

When enabled, each new feature request submitted to your roadmap creates a Linear issue. You can optionally pick labels for these issues too.

Labels always come from your Linear workspace: Produktly lists your workspace-level labels plus the labels of the selected team.

What's in the issue​

Issues created from feedback include:

  • A title built from the feedback type and message
  • The full message
  • The feedback type with its emoji
  • The reporter's email or user ID (when identified via identifyUser)
  • The page URL the feedback came from
  • Browser, OS, and device info
  • The attached screenshot, embedded as an image, when the user added one
  • A link back to your Produktly dashboard

Issues created from feature requests include the request title and description, the requester, the roadmap name, and a dashboard link.

Requirements​

  • A Linear workspace where you're allowed to authorize applications (works on Linear's free plan)
  • The connection is workspace-level: one Linear workspace per Produktly account. A workspace that's actively connected to a different Produktly account can't be claimed until it's disconnected there.

Disconnecting​

To disconnect the Linear integration, open the Linear card on the Integrations page and click "Disconnect". No further issues will be created.

Reconnecting​

If you need to re-authorize, or want to switch to a different Linear workspace, click "Reconnect" to go through the OAuth flow again. Connecting a different workspace deactivates the previous one.
