Feedback only changes anything when someone acts on it, and Slack is where action happens. Produktly's Slack integration sends in-app feedback, NPS responses, and roadmap requests into your Slack workspace through a standard Incoming Webhook. You pick which event types should fire, paste the webhook URL into Produktly, and from then on every selected event lands in the channel your team already lives in.

What the Produktly + Slack integration does

The Slack integration adds these capabilities to your Produktly account.

Feedback widget submissions

Every feedback widget response lands in Slack with the user identifier, the submitted message, and the page context Produktly captured.

NPS responses (created and updated)

NPS scores fire on submission, and again if the user later adds a comment or email. Surface detractors fast so customer success can intervene.

Roadmap feature requests

Every new feature request submitted to your public roadmap posts to Slack so your product team sees the signal without refreshing the dashboard.

Tour, checklist, smart tip, and changelog events

Tour starts, tour finishes, checklist step completions, smart tip opens, and changelog post views can also be routed to Slack. Useful for low-volume signals you want to keep an eye on without opening the dashboard.

Pick which events fire

When you set up the integration, choose "All events" or tick the specific events you want Slack to receive. Other event types are simply not delivered.

How the Slack integration works

Produktly delivers events to Slack via a Slack Incoming Webhook. You generate the webhook URL inside Slack, paste it into Produktly, choose which events should fire, and activate the integration.

  1. A user takes an action in your product (submits feedback, answers NPS, requests a feature, finishes a checklist, etc.).

  2. Produktly captures the event with the user identity and page context.

  3. If the event type is selected on the Slack integration, Produktly posts a message to your Slack webhook URL.

  4. The message lands in the Slack channel that the webhook is bound to.

How to set up the Slack integration with Produktly

Setup typically takes about five minutes. You'll need a Produktly account and a Slack account.

Create a Slack Incoming Webhook

Inside Slack, open Apps and search for "Incoming Webhooks." Add it to your workspace, pick the channel where alerts should land, and copy the generated webhook URL. It looks like https://hooks.slack.com/services/T.../B.../...

Open Integrations in Produktly

From your Produktly dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar and select the Slack tile under available integrations.

Paste the webhook URL

In the integration drawer, paste the Slack webhook URL into the "Slack Webhook URL" field. Add an optional name (e.g., "Customer feedback - #support channel") so it's easy to identify later.

Choose which events should fire

In the same drawer, tick "All events" to forward everything, or tick the specific events you care about: feedback responses, NPS responses, feature requests, tour finishes, checklist completions, smart tip opens, changelog views.

Activate the integration

Click Activate at the top of the drawer. The integration starts delivering immediately for every matching event.

Data sent to Slack

Each Slack message Produktly sends includes:

  • Event type (e.g., feedback response, NPS response, feature request, tour finish)
  • User identifier and email when forwarded from your app via identifyUser
  • The submitted message, score, comment, or feature request title
  • Page URL where the event happened
  • Browser, OS, and device info collected by Produktly
  • A link back to the response inside the Produktly dashboard

Common use cases for the Slack integration

Real-world ways customers use the Produktly + Slack integration in production.

Product team triages feedback in real time

A PM watches the #product-feedback channel. Every new message is read, triaged, and either replied to, filed into the backlog, or routed to engineering.

Customer success catches detractors fast

NPS detractors land in a dedicated channel. CS replies within hours, often saving the relationship before the user starts shopping around.

Roadmap signals reach product without a dashboard check

Every roadmap feature request and recurring vote pattern posts to Slack so product can spot demand the day it shows up, not at the next quarterly review.

Frequently asked questions about the Produktly + Slack integration

Questions teams ask before connecting Slack with Produktly.

Do I need a paid Slack workspace?

No. Slack Incoming Webhooks work on free Slack workspaces and on every paid tier.

Can I route different events to different Slack channels?

Yes. Create more than one Slack integration in Produktly, each pointing at a different Slack webhook URL (and therefore a different channel). Then pick a different set of events on each. For example, send feedback to #support and feature requests to #product.

Are messages threaded?

Each event posts as a standalone Slack message. Your team can reply in thread to discuss internally; Produktly does not read those replies.

Can I customize the Slack message format?

Produktly formats the message based on the event type. For fully custom Slack messages, send the event through a custom webhook to your own service or to Zapier or Pabbly Connect, and post to Slack from there.
