Discord is where indie SaaS teams, developer-first products, and community-led companies do their real work. Produktly treats Discord as a first-class destination: configure a Discord webhook, choose which event types to forward, and every matching Produktly event posts to your channel.
What the Produktly + Discord integration does
The Discord integration adds these capabilities to your Produktly account.
Feedback widget submissions
Each emoji-and-message feedback response posts to Discord with the user identifier, the message text, and the page URL.
NPS responses (created and updated)
NPS scores post when submitted, and again when the user later adds a comment or email.
Roadmap feature requests
Each new feature request on your public roadmap pushes a Discord message. Useful for community-driven roadmaps where members vote and discuss in the same place.
Tour, checklist, smart tip, and changelog events
Forward tour finishes, checklist completions, smart tip opens, and changelog post views to Discord too.
Multiple integrations per workspace
Add several Discord integrations to your Produktly account, each pointing at a different webhook (and therefore a different channel) and forwarding a different set of events.
How the Discord integration works
Discord webhooks are a built-in Discord feature. Produktly posts a message to the webhook URL for every event you've selected on the integration.
A user submits feedback, an NPS score, a feature request, or completes a tour or checklist in your product.
Produktly captures the event with user identity and page context.
If the event type is enabled on the Discord integration, Produktly posts to your Discord webhook.
The message appears in the Discord channel that the webhook is bound to.
How to set up the Discord integration with Produktly
Setup typically takes about five minutes. You'll need a Produktly account and a Discord account.
Create a Discord webhook for your channel
In Discord, open the channel that should receive events. Click the gear icon next to the channel name → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook. Name it "Produktly," optionally upload an avatar, and copy the webhook URL.
Open Integrations in Produktly
From the Produktly dashboard, go to Integrations and click the Discord tile.
Paste the webhook URL
Paste the Discord webhook URL into the "Discord Webhook URL" field. Give the integration a clear name like "Discord - #feedback."
Choose which events should fire
Tick "All events" or pick specific event types: feedback responses, NPS, feature requests, tour finishes, checklist completions, smart tips, changelog views.
Activate the integration
Click Activate at the top of the drawer. Events start flowing immediately.
Data sent to Discord
Each Discord message Produktly sends includes:
- Event type and the originating Produktly widget
- User identifier and email when forwarded via identifyUser
- Submitted message, NPS score, survey answer, or feature request title
- Page URL and timestamp
- A link to the response inside the Produktly dashboard
Common use cases for the Discord integration
Real-world ways customers use the Produktly + Discord integration in production.
Community-led SaaS reads feedback in public
An indie SaaS pipes its public roadmap feature requests into a #roadmap channel where the community can react and discuss. Transparency builds trust; the product team gets a free signal on what excites people.
Developer tool team collects bug reports in their community server
A dev-tool company surfaces feedback widget submissions in #feedback inside the same Discord server power users already hang out in. The team responds immediately and the user feels heard.
Internal product team replaces email digests
Instead of a Monday-morning email summary, the product team gets NPS responses in #cx-monitoring as they happen.
Frequently asked questions about the Produktly + Discord integration
Questions teams ask before connecting Discord with Produktly.
Do I need Discord Nitro or a paid Discord plan?
No. Discord webhooks are free on every server.
Can I send different events to different Discord channels?
Yes. Add a separate Discord integration in Produktly for each channel (each with its own webhook URL) and pick a different event set on each.
Can the bot reply to messages in Discord?
No. Discord webhooks are one-way: Produktly posts to Discord but does not read Discord messages or push replies back into your product.
What happens if my Discord webhook is revoked?
Delivery will fail. Re-create the webhook in Discord, paste the new URL into the Produktly integration, and delivery resumes.
Is Discord on every Produktly plan?
Yes. The Discord integration is on every paid Produktly plan and in the 14-day free trial.
Ready to connect Produktly with Discord?
Every paid Produktly plan includes the Discord integration. Start a 14-day free trial and set it up in five minutes.
