GDPR and Your Right to Data Portability

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to data portability. This means you can request and receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format from any service provider, including Frill.

If you're a customer of Frill, you can request a full export of your data, which can then be imported into Produktly.

How to Export Your Data from Frill

  1. 1Frill exports your data as separate CSV files: ideas, votes, comments, announcements and followers
  2. 2Log in to Frill and export each of these files
  3. 3Send the files to us through the in-app chat or [email protected]
  4. 4If you cannot find the export, ask Frill support for a full export of your data. You are entitled to it under GDPR

    We import each Frill status as a roadmap section, and ideas without a status as feature requests. Topics become Produktly tags

    Vote counts and comments (with author and date) come across with every idea

    Your announcements become Produktly changelog posts, with images moved over to our storage and YouTube embeds kept

    Review everything in your Produktly dashboard and rename sections or tags if you like

    Point your roadmap and announcement links, or your custom domain, to Produktly

    Cancel Frill once you have checked everything

Frequently Asked Questions

Have you migrated a Frill account before?

Yes. We have moved a customer's full Frill account to Produktly: ideas, votes, comments and announcements. The same process is used for yours.

How much does Produktly cost?

Plans start at €19 per month (€16 billed yearly) and include a public roadmap, feedback widgets and a changelog. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial.

What does the migration cost?

Nothing. We do the import for you as part of your trial or subscription.

Will my votes transfer?

Vote counts transfer for every idea. Frill's export does not identify voters in a way Produktly can match to your users, so we keep each idea's voter list with the item instead of recreating individual votes.

Do comments carry over?

Yes, with the original author name and date.

What else do I get that Frill does not have?

The same subscription includes product tours, onboarding checklists, smart tips, NPS and micro-surveys, so you can guide users to the features they voted for once they ship.

What does not transfer?

Analytics history stays in Frill. You start fresh with Produktly's analytics once you go live.

How long does it take?
