EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant product tour software
By Olli, founder of Produktly · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Produktly is a product tour and onboarding platform based in Helsinki, Finland, with customer data hosted in Germany: the application runs on Hetzner servers and the database on DigitalOcean in Frankfurt. A GDPR data processing agreement (DPA) with the full subprocessor list is published at produktly.com/dpa, EU hosting costs nothing extra, and plans start at €19/month.

What the widget sends to Produktly
The Produktly script records what your users do with your tours, checklists, surveys and other widgets: which widget they saw, which step they reached, what they answered. If you identify users, it also stores the user ID and any attributes you choose to pass, such as plan or role.
You decide what to pass. A pseudonymous ID (for example your database primary key) is enough for per-user checklist progress and targeting; names and email addresses are not needed. Identity verification with an HMAC hash is available so nobody can impersonate another user ID.
EU hosting compared with other onboarding tools
- No add-on fee. Every Produktly plan uses the same EU hosting. UserGuiding, for comparison, sells EU hosting in Frankfurt as a paid add-on on its Starter plan (checked on its pricing page on Oct 9, 2026).
- Usetiful is no longer an option. Usetiful, the Estonian product tour tool, stopped taking new customers after Fullstory acquired it in November 2025.
- Check the subprocessor list, not just the server location. Where the database sits is only part of the picture. Ask every vendor for its DPA and subprocessor list, as you would for Produktly.
